International Shipping Policy
International Orders
Last Updated: May 29, 2026
Boutique Service via Shopify Markets Pro
A. Final Sale & No-Cancellation Policy
All international orders are Final Sale. We do not accept returns, exchanges, or store credits for any orders shipped outside of the United States.
Due to the complex nature of international customs documentation, once an order has been processed for shipment, it cannot be canceled or modified.
B. Duties, Taxes & Customs
Duties and taxes are calculated and collected upfront at checkout via Shopify Markets Pro to help streamline the international delivery process.
By placing an international order, you agree to the terms and conditions of our international shipping partner.
Customs Delays Paula & Chlo LLC is not responsible for delays caused by customs clearance, local carrier issues, regulatory inspections, or international postal strikes. International transit times may vary significantly due to customs inspections, regulatory procedures, or local carrier processing. These delays are outside the control of Paula & Chlo LLC and do not constitute grounds for order cancellation, refund, or chargeback.
Risk of Loss Risk of loss and title for international shipments transfer to the customer once the package is delivered to the shipping carrier.
Documentation We provide accurate commercial invoices as required by law. We cannot mark international shipments as "gifts" or undervalue packages to avoid duties or taxes.
C. Shipment Protection
To help protect your purchase during international transit, shipment protection is required for all international orders.
Paula & Chlo reserves the right to cancel and refund international orders that do not include shipment protection at checkout.
D. Refused or Undeliverable Shipments
If an international package is refused by the customer or deemed undeliverable by the carrier, the customer is responsible for:
- The original shipping costs
- All return shipping fees incurred to return the package to Michigan
- A 30% restocking fee to cover international processing and non-recoverable duties
International shipments refused due to unpaid duties, taxes, or import charges will be treated as refused shipments and subject to the same fees outlined above.
The customer remains responsible for all original shipping charges, return shipping costs, and any duties, taxes, or carrier handling fees incurred during the return process.
Payment Disputes If a customer initiates a chargeback or payment dispute for an international order, Paula & Chlo reserves the right to provide order records, customs documentation, shipping confirmation, and policy documentation to the issuing financial institution to dispute the claim. International orders are Final Sale and not eligible for chargeback on the basis of customs delays, delivery timeframes, or refused shipments.
E. Force Majeure
Paula & Chlo LLC is not liable for delays or failure to deliver international orders caused by acts of God, weather events, mechanical failures, carrier strikes, pandemics, port closures, governmental restrictions, or any other circumstances outside our reasonable control. Such events do not constitute grounds for cancellation, refund, or chargeback.
F. Packaging & Accessibility
Packaging To ensure the most efficient transit and help minimize customs complications, international orders are shipped without signature gift packaging.
